Pandora’s Box

Pandora was the young girl’s name,

For mankind’s ills she’s been to blame

Unleashing evil is the claim,

‘Tis such a shame, ’tis such a shame.

The box she had to see inside,

And when unlocked it opened wide,

Then all the evil flew outside,

‘Twas then she cried, ’twas then she cried.

Her fellow man she had betrayed,

The evils of the world displayed,

She knew an error grave was made,

She was afraid, she was afraid.

Pandora was in such despair,

Her grief was quite a lot to bear,

She looked once more and was aware,

Hope was still there, hope was still there.
