It cannot buy you a brain,

This is something that your dollars

Won’t be able to obtain.

Someone who will stay with you

It cannot buy you respect,

This is something you must earn,

And something you collect.

 

Money is overrated . . .

It cannot buy you good health,

For you can get very sick and die,

No matter how huge your wealth.

It cannot buy someone who loves you true,

They may tell you that they love you,

But you’ll always wonder if they do.

 

Money is overrated . . .

It cannot buy you extra time to live,

Only God holds the gift of time in His hands,

It is only God’s gift to give.
